“QAM is Australia’s largest display of aviation history”
The Queensland Air Museum, located at Caloundra on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, is Australia's largest Heritage Air Museum. Established in 1974 and operated entirely by volunteers, boasts a display of more than 65 restored aircraft from many decades including an F-111 C A8-129 and many other aviation related displays. Their vision is 'Preserving Australia's Aviation Heritage'. They are open to the public every day (except Christmas Day) from 10am to 4pm and can open by arrangement outside those hours for special functions and events. They operate group tours, are an ideal venue for children's birthday parties and photo shoots, and they are keen to make their fantastic display as available to the public as possible. They operate three Engines Alive Days each year in January, April and September and host an Open Cockpit Weekend in July. They encourage the involvement of new members and volunteers. Please refer to their web site for visitor, member and volunteer information. Discover Aviation History.
