The Mareeba Heritage Centre's primary operations include a Tourism and Events Queensland accredited Visitor Information Centre, a Heritage Museum and a retail shop retailing souvenirs, books, local produce, unique gift lines and snacks and drinks. The museum offers a comprehensive catalogue of the history and culture of the Mareeba district. Secondary operations include daytime venue hire for community functions and events. The Mareeba Heritage Centre's Visitor Information Centre offers regional tourism information for the Tablelands area through to Cape York, south to Townsville and including the Savannah Way. The Mareeba Heritage Centre's Visitor Information Centre offers the service of tour and accommodation bookings and local event information is also provided. At the Mareeba Heritage Museum it is easy to spend a couple of hours viewing the displays at close quarters with some of the displays being interactive. Entry into the Mareeba Heritage Museum is free of charge but donations are greatly appreciated.
