Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat is much more than its beautifully restored, century-old stone homestead, located in the small agricultural town of Warooka on Southern Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. This majestic dwelling is ingrained with a prominent and inspiring history that continuously underpins the opportunity for guests to uniquely and creatively 'experience the past, explore the present and discover a future’.

With a vision to to establish Ballara as a ‘hub’ to encourage, inspire, nurture and celebrate creative expression, community involvement and initiatives, and cultural collaboration, Ballara currently features customised, art-focussed retreat experiences, one-day art workshops, children’s art classes during the school holidays, and an ambitious Artist Residency program in development.
