We passed pretty scenery coming to the Fundy Trail from St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada. There were boats and docks near the entrance of the Trail. There was also a lighthouse in St. Martins that had tourist info. We drove beside the covered bridge at the entrance, as that's how traffic is directed. Speaking of traffic, there wasn't a lot most of the way through, besides at the St. Martins Sea Caves. We passed them earlier on, but didn't stop until the return. At the time we traveled, the other entrance to the Fundy Trail was closed, so we had to go back all the way that we came. We didn't mind though because the scenery was breathtaking! The St. Martins Sea Caves are amazing, and I highly recommend not missing them! There was a waterfall near there, as well as a beach that people were exploring with lots of rocks and shells. There is an entrance sign (Sentier Fundy Trail) that has the hours on it. There's also a gate where they collect money shortly after that. The cost is $9.50 adults/$8.50 seniors/$5.50 youth/free for children, or for entire vehicle/family is $30. The drive along the bay of Fundy was a high point of our day. We saw lots of trees, rocks, beaches, sand, Atlantic Ocean, waterfalls, caves, bridges, hiking trails, and drove along winding roads (some through rock walls on both sides.) We believe we may have seen a whale, (as noted in one of my pics,) but couldn't confirm since it was so far away. There are Beware of Falling Rocks signs throughout the drive, but we didn't see any. We went to a waterfall (Chutes Fuller Falls) with a very short walk from the parking lot to a viewing deck. There is also handicap parking available there for those who need it. There were plenty of picnic tables to stop at along the trail, some with spectacular views! There's plenty of photo opps along the trail. Although this is known for hiking, if someone had a disability or was not in physical shape to do hiking, the drive alone is worth the entry fee. Plus, there's the possibility of seeing wildlife and the other neat things I mentioned above. We did miss hiking to the Flower Pot Rock and walking on the Suspension Bridge over Big Salmon River, as we had a schedule to keep. If we returned, we'd like to do those two things also.
