“scenic hill in downtown Montreal”
Mount Royal is a hill in the city of Montreal, immediately west of downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the city to which it gave its name. The hill is part of the Monteregian Hills situated between the Laurentians and the Appalachians. It gave its Latin name, Mons Regius, to the Monteregian chain. The hill consists of three peaks: Colline de la Croix (or Mont Royal proper) at 233 m (764 ft), Colline d'Outremont (or Mount Murray, in the borough of Outremont) at 211 m (692 ft), and Westmount Summit at 201 m (659 ft) elevation above mean sea level.
Reviews
A must for your visit to Montreal . . . No other place can you get the full view of Montreal. Allow yourself plenty of time, you can spend an entire day exploring this park. If you enjoy the outdoors, take your running and/or hiking shoes and bikes . . . Lots of paths for hiking and nice road for running and biking. Would love to see the view in early October!
The classic view of the Montreal skyline. Taking pictures at different times of year from the lookout is a great way of seeing how much the colours and natural landscape change.
A great place to view the city of Montreal. Lots of culture, good trails, and great people (and raccoon!) watching too! A must visit.
Best view of Montréal !
This huge and amazing park is located right in the center of the city of Montreal. To roam around the place will take you around 2-3 hours to really enjoy the magnificent views and to enjoy the place itself. Also, you will be able to meet a lot of different people in the park.
