“First Nation educational opportunities”
Wanuskewin Heritage Park helps create awareness, sensitivity and knowledge of the Northern Plains culture to both First Nation and non-First Nation visitors. Partnership, respect, tolerance, teaching, learning and understanding are the values upon which our Park was founded and under which we continue to operate today. The growing presence of First Nations people as an important integral part of Western Canada’s social and economic fabric are strong indicators that Wanuskewin Heritage Park has just begun its journey in fulfilling the mandate which our founders (Elders) set out for us. Visitors of all ages visit Wanuskewin Heritage Park to tour our visitor centre, walk our trails, partake in our educational and cultural programs and most of all gather and visit with family and friends.
