Gateway To The Far North is located 3.6 km from Okahu Estate in Kaitaia, the last major town before Cape Reinga, which is 1.5 hours drive away. The property is 5 minutes' walk from the town of Kaitaia, which has shops, restaurants, fast-food outlets, petrol stations, supermarkets and a cinema. Many fabulous beaches, including the famous 90-mile beach are within easy driving distance and the main bus terminal is 5 minutes' walk away. Gateway To The Far North offers unlimited free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy drinks, meals, light snacks or packed lunches, available for an additional charge, on request. All rooms are equipped with a kettle and have access to shared bathroom facilities, fitted with a shower. Some rooms have direct access to the garden. Dessert and meat, fish or vegetables are available for barbecuing for an additional charge of $10 per person.
