Hiking trails VERY poorly marked. Map was confusing at best. Even signage was confusing and completely inadequate. Very easy to get lost because trails have overgrowth. Hike carefully and cautiously. The water is gorgeous though, enjoy that & skip the big hikes or at least go with the guides and get familiar with the park first.
Wooded and as mountainous as Oklahoma gets, Robber's Cave is a great place to escape for a couple of days. Plenty of activities if you're taking the family, but also lots of trails and back country camping if you're wanting an escape.
This overall campground property is huge. We were there over Labor day weekend and it felt peaceful and not any more crowded than any other weekend at a state park.
Reservations: We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. When I looked online a few weeks before arrival, the reservation site said they were full. When I phoned them, they had plenty of sites available. They said it's better to book over the phone then online.
They take the first night's reservation + $8 reservation fee at the time of reservation. You can't pick your site over the phone, but you can put in a request. They assign sites the Sunday before arrival.
Sites:
You want to stay in Old Circle Campground. It's more private than Whispering Pines and the sites are larger. We liked our site (24) because it was a pull-thru and offered a larger "backyard" for the dogs. Site 32 also looked like an awesome spot. Sites are all paved and pretty level.
Activities
-Hiking: the best hike is at Robbers Cave itself. Lots of boulders to climb on and you get a great view at the top.
-Kayaking: We don't have kayaks (yet!), but this place really, really made me wish we did. There are several lakes and rivers to choose from in the area.
-Feed the mini-horses!
-They also have a pool, disc golf, mini golf, but we didn't partake
Connectivity
-My Verizon iPhone 6 had no service, but our Verizon mi-fi (791L-46B1) had 1 bar LTE and we were able to stream Netflix all weekend
Oh - and watch out for skunks, raccoons and TARANTULAS at your campsite!

Robbers Cave has a few different campgrounds, but the 2 used for RVs without interest in the equestrian sites are Whispering Pines and Old Circle. We stayed in Old Circle, which offers more private, forest surrounded sites. Our site was 30amp and water for $22 a night plus an $8 reservation fee ($25 there are FHU sites), and there is a dump station on the way out.
Pros: large, fairly level, somewhat private natural sites, hook-ups worked fine; Robbers Cave has tons of trails (some are better marked than others) along with an interesting rock formation/cave/the namesake, that's worth a visit.
Cons: The road around Old Circle is single lane and leads to the dump site which is on a small hill, but the lay-out can make being trapped in the park and/or blocking the road out a problem. The dump site has a sign indicating it's $5 with no clarification as to whether campers also pay, and it was full and spilling when we went to leave. Our T-Mobile signal was nearly non-existent and only sort of useful with the booster. The side-by-side traffic (aka golf carts) can be moderately annoying (as a plus, they have a paid ATV park) and it was fairly common to see kids, sometimes with adults, riding the camp ground circle over and over.

We stayed here two days, Saturday and Sunday. We visited the caves, plan at least 2hr to walk around and explore. The park has playgrounds for kids. We did the paddle boats witch was fun and relaxing. We noticed a flyer that had a list of events the park was doing through the weekend, we saw a hay ride witch was supposed to take place in half an hour but the employees obviously had forgotten about, but the staff was friendly and helpful and did it last minute even though we were the only three to sign up for it!
We camped in site 19, it has full hookups and the concrete pad was level enough to not have to use any leveling aids.
Overall great experience and will definitely be staying again.

We booked our reservation late after a change of plans. The only pull through sites left we’re at the ATV Trails, so we stayed there. Nice sites, a bit hilly and muddy (it had rained quite a bit the days prior to our arrival) and by the end of the weekend there were several large ruts in the gravel road.
Our site was level, though a pretty good incline up to it and a good incline after the pad, so larger rigs may want to pick another site, but our 36” fifth wheel leveled just fine. If you’re looking for a wider, flatter, more “manicured” site, I wouldn’t recommend the ATV sites. The other campgrounds were definitely more maneuverable. There were a couple turns getting in and out where you need to watch the turns and trees, but had little issue getting in and out, even with wet conditions.
No dump site at the ATV trail, but it was a short and easy drive to the equestrian dump site.
The general store was well ran and stocked with all “the easientals” and the hiking around the camp ground was wonderful for our little kids as well as my wife and I.

We were a bit closer to the camp road than we prefer but also were close to the bathhouse for our tent camping family. We stayed in Whispering Pines. If you want more privacy and bigger sites, go to Old Circle. Had a great time hiking around and seeing the creeks. Enjoyable camping in the trees.

We needed a change of scenery to socially distance in nature, but we live in TX and all our state parks are still closed. So we looked to our neighbor up north, OK whose state parks are open and found Robbers Cave State Park. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful this area of OK is. Our site was amazing and we will definitely return! Great hiking and scenery

Great state park with good hiking, fishing, swimming, and canoe rental. Lots to do and friendly staff. Only negative would be paying $5 to dump after your stay if you don’t get a site with sewer (there are a few). Otherwise it’s one of the best parks we’ve gotten to stay at.
