We stayed here visiting family. Use Passport America during the week with half off making some nights $12. Our site had a large tree. Bathrooms ok. Privacy ok. Not great. Space between sites good.

This was a quick overnight spot for us, but we were happy we chose it. We came as a late walk-in, but had a site across from the bath house on a hill with a lovely view. All the sites had a fire ring and picnic table. The bath house was very basic but clean. We didn't use the showers, so can’t report on those. There looked to be lots to do here: hiking, boating, tennis, volleyball and swimming. We could easily come back and spend more time.

I’ve camped at Dillon State Park for several years now and I thought I’d write a brief review. Kind of a no-frills adventure, however the park is well-kept and the folks here are nice. This park offers a few full hook up sites, however they are normally taken. Most all sites offer electricity and you can get water throughout the campground. The campsites have asphalt pads and are not particularly level. My campsite had a 50 foot long pad There are several large areas to accommodate big rigs. You are about 15 to 20 minutes from Zanesville Ohio and most stores or restaurants.
Overall nice campground and I will continue to return.

The crowd was expected, as we camped on the long Independence Day weekend. Not expected, however: power outages 50-60% of the time, and only getting 106 volts when the power was on. I chalked this up to the crowd and the heat. Another camper, though, said that the campground has had chronic power issues for “years”, and has done relatively little to address them.
That said, the park was nice enough, and the biking/horse trails looked to be great. The store was well-stocked and the people are quite competent and extremely friendly. OK for a night or two, either as a local getaway or on the way to somewhere else.

Had a wonderful experience here at Dillon State Park. Although the park was completely full (what isn't on a Labor Day weekend) our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. We had friends that had the site next to ours (29), so that made our outing even better! Sites have excellent amount of room for our 30' rig, and since our site was handicap accessible we had extra-wide parking.
Only con to speak of...was that there were too many additional vehicles visiting the campers and made it difficult to get through the campground. BUT...that is to be expected on Labor Day weekend!
We have stayed here in the past and we will definitely be staying here again! (Maybe not on Labor Day though, lol)

As in my earlier reviews I stated I’ve camped at Dillon State Park over the past several years. I am now camping in the lower section. Much nicer.
If you were looking to camp here I would pick the lower 30s or the mid teens lot numbers.
You won’t go wrong there.
Still a nice campground, I would recommend staying here.

The prior reviewer recommended several clusters of sites which was good advice. Being no more than half full upon arrival I scouted the loops out and found the lower loop sites 40 - 60 to be very nicely laid out, open with good access to the southern sky, and backing up to some nice grass & brush. The upper loop (1-32) and the "back" loop (basically everything >60) were quite full - lots of large rigs and trailers, many appearing to be set up for seasonal use (trucks, cars, bikes, scooters, grills, etc). I was quite pleased with this site. It sloped to the port side, but leveling wasn't a big deal. This site had electric, fire ring, and picnic table. The entire park was very well maintained and clean. Dump station and dumpsters are by the park office, whereas water is distributed on risers located in the loops. 12 sites on the upper loop have FHU. There is an equestrian camp with riding, hiking and biking trails. Lots to explore in the area including Black Hand Gorge, Zanesville, historic locks and The Wilds (about 30 miles). Boosted cell signal provided all the access I needed.
UPDATE: The campsites mentioned above are limited to loop 1, which is to the right as you leave the registration area). Loops 2 & 3 are to the left - in loop 2, at the end of the upper row, site 139 while very open, had a commanding view of the entire lower park and surrounding countryside. Good sunset site.

This is a nice state park with a ton of sites. We were there in late October during the week and it was super quiet. There weren’t many people around at all which was kinda nice. They do have an awesome laundry facility with commercial washers. I definitely took advantage of that. There are basketball courts, playgrounds, a disc golf course, mountain biking trails, hiking trails– you name it! Tons of amenities here and the facilities are really nice. The nearby town of Zanesville has a lot of stores too if you need anything.

Nice park. Well maintained. Bathrooms are frumpy, but clean. All water taps are on the curb side, so you have to have a long hose or get creative to fill up.

Our stay at Dillion State Park was short but we explored the campground and the park.
The variety of types of camp sites as well as activities in the area, we could easily stay for
a few weeks.
