Verdant waterfalls, dense, shady thickets of woodland, rushing rivers, incredible wildlife, and tons more can be found within. Take a scenic drive through, pull over for a hike, or find a campground somewhere in the forest and enjoy!
The Mount Shasta region of California is totally quirky, with lots of farms, outdoor-lovers, and funky, New Age vibes. Camp Shasta Restaurant and Coffee Co. is part thrift store, part breakfast spot... so after your coffee, bacon and eggs, you can browse for a totally bizarre and one-of-a-kind souvenir.
OMG candy! The Jelly Belly factory is in Fairfield, just north of San Francisco, and they offer tours where you can peek inside the jelly bean-making process. Sure, it's not quite Willy Wonka's infamous candy factory, but you won't leave a blueberry... and you can stock up on rare Jelly Belly flavors!
