“Experience the the old days of Wild Bill Hickok”
Old Abilene Town features living history, from the Old Days of Wild Bill Hickok. Come out and experience a Gunfight on Main Street and see the Can Can girls dancing in the Alamo Saloon, while you kick back and enjoy an ice cold sasparilla. (These shows run from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend) Visit the General Store and pick up a handcrafted item made by a Kansas Artisian or a sherriffs badge, to show the rest of the world who's the boss. Come early and enjoy breakfast, or stay later for one of the many lunch specials that the Hitching Post Restaurant has to offer!
Reviews
Old Abilene Town is a charming venue dedicated to preserving the spirit of the American West, and it’s full of fascinating landmarks.
The Alamo Saloon, Merchant’s Hotel, Viola Clock Shop, and W. R. Wilson General Store are just a few places you’ll see and will take you a step back in time. From May through Labor Day, you can also watch gunfights, and on weekends you can enjoy can-can shows.
We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Abilene KS!
The kids had a wonderful time running from each store front to the next and the gunfight.....they wanted to watch it a second time.
