“Biggest ski mountain in the state”
Alyeska Resort is a ski resort that is located in Girdwood, Alaska, approximately 27 miles (44 km) from the city of Anchorage. Mount Alyeska is part of the Chugach mountain range. It is the biggest ski mountain in the state of Alaska. The Alyeska Ski Corporation was founded in 1954, and the first chair lift and day lodge were opened in 1959. Guests report that the ghost of a man named Chris haunts rooms 721 and 515. Chris is a rather easy going guest, though. All he reportedly does is try the water faucet and languish in doorways. He must be shy. A guest apparently spoke to him, only to have him vanish instantly.
Reviews
We were there in August so no snow but that tram ride up to the top was beautiful. It's really a great view and I would reccomend not missing it. Take a wrap though because there was wind the day we were there.
