“Where the Oregon Trail Comes Alive”
The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center brings to life the Oregon Trail experience through living history demonstrations, interpretive programs, exhibitions, and special events. Oregon Trail ruts carved by pioneer wagons are located onsite and are featured in a four mile interpretive hiking trail system. Trails and picnic areas offer scenic vistas of the Blue Mountains, the Wallowa Mountains, and Baker Valley. Know Before You Go: Days and hours of operation change seasonally and may be impacted by severe weather events. For a current schedule and rates please call 541-523-1843 or visit oregontrail.blm.gov. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Download a free brochure to plan your visit. No food or drink is permitted inside the Interpretive Center. Pets are ALLOWED but must be LEASHED. Service animals only inside the Interpretive Center.
