Enjoyed the tour as a family - pretty cool place to stop on a road trip - with 3 kids ~7-13 in age about 1 1/2 - 2 hours is good amount of time if your just touring the factory, but could take more time if u visit beyond (I.e. Concerts, art building, lunch, etc). Only wish there was a bit more to add for my 7 year old (i.e. play ground) just to make the day equally exciting for him as the rest of the family. Overall loved it!
Spend an hour simply walking the HMT and viewing the massive steelworks. Follow it up with lunch nearby, or enjoy one of the many events on site. Make the Steel Stacks a pit stop, or make a day of it!! Kids will definitely enjoy it too!
This place is amazing... We went on the Sunday the Pope was in Philadelphia so they canceled the tours because they were having Mass outside but it was such an amazing place to walk around and check out on our own. We will def make another trip to take one of the tours they have there.
Such an amazing venue! I've seen so many great bands here for free all throughout the year. They have 2 incredibly comfortable movie theaters that show mostly independent movies. They even host concerts and comedy acts in the theaters (including the improv troupe Associated Mess, which is hilarious).
This place is EPIC. History at a truly impressive scale. You can tour the SteelStacks (there are several different tour lengths) or just go to soak it in. The coolest part about this place is ArtQuest. They hold concerts (musikfest) and the venues are really unbelievable. Hit up the Musikfest Cafe for some great programming as you pass through. If you're in the area, it's a sin not to experience the legacy of Bethlehem Steel which made (and broke) the town and is now an integral part of it's revitalization.
