This is an overall nice park in the woods near Carollton, KY along the Ohio and Kentucky rivers. The campground doesn't have any views of the rivers but there is an overlook in the park. The campground has 15/30/50 amp service and water spigots between camp sites. I would of liked to have given this 5 stars but they are being devastated by the Emerald Ash Borer and many trees have been removed and a couple of hundred more have to be removed this year. Not their fault but 1 star off for that. The bathrooms were fairly clean but the showers were dingy, lots of bugs running around and they didn't keep up with the toilet paper very well, so 1 star for that. While they mowed, I never saw anyone checking sites to see if they were clean.
We had made a reservation for too small a site but the staff helped us find an available larger site that worked out well.
On the plus side: Pretty empty during the week, lots of room. Volley ball court, nice playground equipment for the kids. There is a hotel with a restaurant and bar. The restaurant served pretty good food.
Park also has a golf course and a mini-golf course, so some unusual amenities for a State Park.

This campground was just ok to us. No privacy between the campsites. Our site did have electric and water hookups, no sewage hook up. There is a dump station within the park though. There are quite a few things to do; mini golf, swimming. However each are additional costs. I believe it was 5 dollars for golf. Campers were only allowed to use the pool from 4:30-6PM, or you could pay 5 dollars a day to use it the entire day.
We would only stay here again for the location as it was somewhat in the middle of the areas we wanted to see.

This is our Spring Shakeout. Time to de-winterize and get ready for the summer. We normally stay in the loop with just electrical. This time of year, we are typically the only ones in that loop. This year we’re in the loop with full hook-ups. All sites are pretty level and paved. The paved area is about 3-4 inches above the picnic area which could be an issue for some folks stepping up into campers. Electric outlets are in a good place. Most sewage seems to have a bit uphill grade and the water is way far in back of the site (bring extra long water hose). For the most part, quiet and laid back. Bathrooms are fairly clean as well. Great place for a weekend get-a-way.

This is our 5th camping experience and by far our least favorite. If you like a lot of children and pets running around, loud music from neighboring campsites, and plentiful highway noise, then this is the place for you. Most sites have a drop off from the paved camper pad to the picnic area beside your camper making for numerous opportunities to stumble while exiting/entering your camper. This is a state park- adequate, but nothing extraordinary.

We stayed in a site with water and electric, You can hear the road noise in a tent, if you're looking for quiet. Best feature: The bathrooms are impeccable, you can tell that great care is taken in their upkeep! We weren't pleased with the rate so we'll not likely return.

Arrival was a straight shot to our reserved spot since we arrive around 7p. Nothing special but a nice spot for a last minute get away. Quiet and lots of open spots even during summer. 9/10 for clean restrooms, 7/10 for the showers. Sites listed as “slight” grade may require 6” of lift so watch out. Many of the off-shoots that appear to have good privacy on the campground map are actually on top of each other. You can hear road noises but, in the summer, not to bad. Didn’t do anything outside of visiting the playground due to weather so can’t comment on other amenities or attractions. Per policy (7/‘20) any site without reservation tag is available for one night.

Nice little campground. Family oriented. Most sites surround a playground. Good for us as we have a child that played until he was tuckered out. Bring your bike as that is what everyone does. There is a hiking trail. At the entry to the park there is a putt putt course. Not sure how much it was as we didn’t play. There is a small lake that you can canoe on, also at the park entrance.
There is a highway that runs next to the campgrounds, so you will hear road noise. The sights are somewhat small, and you have to rent a site based on your rig size. Some are shorter than others. Overall not bad to just sit and relax while the kids play.

If you are looking for a family getaway with lots of activities and have a rig around 30’ or less....this place is good! there’s several trails, putt putt, fishing, restaurant, playground, etc. Although sites do not have much separation between them. Not much privacy. Bring a looonnnggg water hose! And watch which side electric is on for your site. Some are opposite and would require cord going under trailer. Super easy coming off I-71! However Verizon was next to nothing for data, DISH wouldn’t work with trees, and we only picked up 2 channels with antenna.
BIG RIG notes: We booked an overnight just passing through town. We are 42’ and booked the longest available at the time, site 100. It was listed at 64’. When we arrived, we met the absolute nicest attendant ever! She told us without us asking that if we saw another site we liked better to just snag it since they weren’t full. She recommended a long pull through in the first cul-de-sac. While the turn around was suuupppper tight for us, site 7 was perfectly level and we didn’t even have to unhitch! Bless her! Once we got settled we took a walk to find site 100. It was up on a hill with a pretty severe downward grade to the front. Many didn’t look like they’d accommodate big rigs AND tow vehicle. Definitely built for 30’ or less in general. There were a few overflow parking spots but only near the far NW corner. We decided site 7 was really the longest and best site there for 40’+. Even the other pull thrus had trees and curves that would be tough for over 40’.

Great little park . Pick your site wisely if you are under 30 shouldn’t have too much of a problem. We had to park our truck sideways to get off the roadway . They have a swimming pool and a couple play grounds for kids . Also have a Putt putt golf course. It is a very peaceful park. There are a few sites with full hook ups . A few of the site set near the roadway

I think the location has potential however the shower house was just gross. Not sure anyone cleans them at all. The site we had was near impossible to get into with our rig. We decided to stick it out. The site had a huge drop off out the door and our only place to sit outside was on the concrete in front of the camper.
