Awesome time. Cheap too. 45 minute tour. After caves go up to raccoon mountain to the lookout points and visitor center. Amazing.
We stopped by here on our way to the Smokeys. We purchased tickets online, which was handy. It's a small cave system but definitely interesting. I heard there were overnight options in the caves, which sounded cool but we didn't have the time to do that. I've seen better caves, so it's nothing mind boggling, but it's definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.
We spent 3 wonderful nights in the RV park. It's clean and well-kept. You can take a short walk to the caverns . It's within short driving distances to all of the other Chattanooga sights. We recommend Raccoon Caverns highly.
Aug 22,2018 heading west stayed overnight in C class motorhome, $52.00 , large wide pull throughs . Very nice campground, professionally maintained golf cart guide to site, full hookups including good WiFi , clean large dog fenced dog play area and cable tv.
Cracker Barrel and Walmart just an easy few miles away. We didn’t have time for the tour to caverns but it looked interesting. This looks better than any other choices nearby
My kids and I really enjoyed our visit. Tour guides were friendly and accommodating to my inquisitive boys, and the tour lasted as long as we wanted it too. Highly recommended.
Amazing! Tour was fantastic and camping was great!
We camped here for a night. It was very busy and even though we werre off to the side it was noisy. They were friendly when we checked in. The kids wanted to swim in the morning and they said the pool opened at 10 am. We were out there in swim suits and at 10:15 my husband went to see if someone was gonna unlock the pool. Five minuted later a couple guys came to clean the pool. They could see all of us waiting but did not address us and slowly scooped one leaf at a time out of the pool. After 10 more minutes we just left. We've stayed at many campsites and this one seemed like it was mostly ran by teenage kids. We will not stay here again.
We really enjoyed exploring the caves with the incredibly knowledgeable guides. We stayed at the camp ground in one of the cabins. The cabins were rustic, but we had so much fun. The staff was more than accommodating. You just can't beat the experience for the price!
We loved this park and would recommend it to others for several reasons:
- It offers many things to do in the campground – hiking, cave exploring, and a “fun park” for kids.
- It is easy to get to. No crazy maneuvers around mountains.
- Full hook-ups – water, sewer, electric and cable.

Good Sam Discount. Beautiful camp ground that has nice tent sites, cabins and spaces large enough for the largest RV. Friendly staff. Bathrooms and laundry clea. Newly fenced in dog park. Pool being renovated but will be really nice. Next door are the Raccoon Mountain Caves which was really nice at 60 degrees. Wifi worked as well. Antenna tv had only a few signals so went to cable which was great. Lots of trails and sites to see nearby such as Ruby Falls, civil war sites and incline train.
