“The World Center of Racing”
Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" -- the Daytona 500. The Daytona 500 is the biggest, richest and most prestigious race in America and annually kicks off the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Although the Daytona 500 garners most of the attention, the enormous 480-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe -- earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to nine major weekends of racing activity, featuring everything from NASCAR to the Rolex Sports Car Series to the American Motorcyclist Association and the World Karting Association, the Speedway is also booked for more than two solid months each year for testing and development of various race vehicles. Motorized meandering aside, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, athletic games, photo "shoots," production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Parking lot style camping. All 50amp service so bring a pigtail to convert to 30amp. Business is under new management who were very friendly. A bit pricy at 135.00 a night but your stay does include one pump out. Extra pump outs are $40.00. No WiFi, no cable, no showers, there are pits potties so just water and electric. Speedweek and major events there is a minimum of a 5 day rental. Staff picks up garbage a couple times a day. Total plus is you are walking distance to the track. On the review noise level? Well you are next to the Racetrack and airport.

The 480-acre complex, known to many as the "World Center of Racing", hosts tons and tons of other events. From Rolex Sports Car Series to the American Motorcyclist Association to the World Karting Association, there's plenty of high-octane awesomeness to watch. Or, even better, if the track isn't being used for testing race vehicles, you can get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Speedway that takes you on the track. The tours give you the chance to check out spots on the track that even some drivers don't get to see, like the start and finish line, the victory lane, the backstretch suites, the garages and inspection station, pit road, the infield, and the Daytona 500 Championship car.
The place of the great American race. Loved it
