“nestled along the Wind River”
Welcome to your gateway to Grand Teton National Park! We are the closest KOA to Grand Teton National Park and the Southern Entrance to Yellowstone National Park! We invite you to camp with us alongside the Wind River, in a beautiful valley between the Wind River and Absaroka mountain ranges. The Campground is open from the last week in April until the end of October. You will be in the heart of Dubois, a rustic western cowboy town just 50 miles east of Grand Teton National Park and then another 25 miles via scenic byway to Yellowstone National Park. The mountain views are fabulous while still enjoying the conveniences of services and shopping. The Dubois area offers some of the best access to wilderness and recreational trails in the West. Destination Dubois is a favorite mountain town, with an elevation of 6,917 feet and only 30 miles east of the Continental Divide. Dubois is a great base camp for a true Rocky Mountain experience. One night won't be enough to enjoy all of the scenic driving tours, the weekly scheduled natural, historical and cultural events, rodeos, square dances and entertainment offered in this most authentic setting.Bring your ORV or rent one from us! Ride from your campsite to miles of public trails with the purchase of a Wyoming ORV permit.Spend a relaxing day trout fishing on the Wind River right out the front door of your RV, cabin, or tent . Full service hook ups, including municipal water, sewer, and electrical services are available on most sites. Amenities also include free WIFI, a playground, an indoor pool, a game room, plus laundry, a store and restrooms.Bring the furbabies along. We have dedicated Paw Pen sites that will allow your pets to enjoy our beautiful campground as well. They can relax outside without being on lease all the time. We have a few extra fenced pens that we can rent as well if you are not on a Paw Pen site.** For our April and October Guests** Typically, we are only open from mid-May until September 30. With changing weather patterns in our area, we are offering sites from April 26- until October 31. We need to tell you that WATER MAY BE AN ISSUE ON BOTH ENDS. Days are beautiful and usually still warm, but evenings will be dipping into the 20s. We will do our best to communicate daily weather so everyone knows what to expect and can plan accordingly.**PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THERE IS A FIRE BURNING 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TOGWOTEE PASS. PLEASE RE EVALUATE YOUR TRAVEL PLANS IF THIS WILL BE AN ISSUE.

Ironic that the night before was our first stay at a KOA (which I began the review by saying they don't appeal to us), and all we could find the next night was another KOA. However this one was such a nice surprise. It was directly on the Wind River, and totally worth the premium to get a site that backs up to the River. The campground has large shade trees, plenty grassy area between and behind the sites, and is within walking distance to the quaint town of Dubois. Our site, 33, was picture perfect- completely level, backed up to the rushing river, had a large shaded grass area, and even a sandy area for the kids to play. I wish we had more time to stay here. It's a great place to relax.
Verion service was very spotty. Bounced between no service, extended with one bar, to LTE with 3 bars. I was able to load webpages with patience and repeated tries. However it wouldn't be reliable enough for work purposes. The campground did have Wifi, which was also spotty. There was an Internet cafe/ coffee shop within walking distance that we did not try out.

We were on a pinch with no where to stay and they went out of their way to fit us in!! The KOA was super clean, diverse sites, shade, some sites on the river. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Super clean restrooms with great showers. Very friendly staff that goes the extra mile.

This was a stop we used to do Teton National Park. I would not recommend staying here if that is your intent only because of the distance. We had a site that was located in the middle of a circle of sites but you still were private. Very close to the bath and shower which are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was super nice and friendly. The indoor pool was empty and apparently it was supposed to have been repaired earlier. The roads in the park are a bit rough and dusty. There is not really much to the town and we did not go anywhere except for the grocery store and gas station. Overall a nice place without the usual KOA bells and whistles.

This campground is clean and well managed. We enjoyed the beautiful little town of Dubois on the Wind River. Our site had full hookups and a little dog run for our mini doxies, there is also a big dog park across the campground. Looked like the pool was closed, but there is a playground and mini golf. There are bath house and laundry which we didn’t use. I would definitely stay here again, perhaps for a couple days to see the sights in the area.

We stayed here for a week as an access point for Grand Teton. Our site was level and right on the Wind River with full hookups. Sites were good size with no issue unhooking and having room for our truck. Staff in the store was very helpful and pleasant. Shower and bathrooms were clean and nice. If you’re a hiker be sure to check out Dubois Badlands and Fitzpatrick Wilderness.

This park was comfortable and rustic. Great laundry at good prices. Showers were cleaned daily, and the kids liked the indoor pool and game room. We had a back in site #1, with a fire ring and good outdoor space. Ground squirrels are super cute and very industrious! Unfortunately we could find bo access through to the river side except through campsites, and they stayed pretty full. This was a bit farther from Yellowstone and Teton than we anticipated, but Dubois was a beautiful area with similar mountains to the badlands.

We stayed 1 week in June 2023. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We did not get a choice site as it was rainy during our stay and the area needed some gravel. We were in a 44’ toy hauler so we were happy to have a place (rigs that size are often hard to fit). A spot on high ground with grass or gravel provides a wonderful stay. I would stay again but I would try to be more selective with assigned site

We stayed for 2 nights. My kids loved the pool! After a long trip and relaxing before the long drive home they spent the majority of the time swimming. The campground was clean. I was told no garbage cans throughout the campground only the dumpster because they blow away in the wind too frequently. My only problem happened after the trip. They had had an issue with their reservation computer system and I had changed how long we’d stay, but the issue must have not changed our dates and we were charged extra. I didn’t catch the mistake until much later reviewing charges.
