“making tasty treats and fun tours”
The Dairy Plant, where we make all the tasty treats available in the Dairy Store, is equipped to process a variety of natural cheeses and ice cream in a state-of-the-art processing system. There are 14,000 square feet on Farm Lane full of everything dairy, and the space is open for tours. The Dairy Food Complex was fully renovated through special support by the State of Michigan. The Animal Industry Initiative (AII) project included modernization of all mechanical, electrical, lighting and communication systems within the building; window and exterior door replacement; life safety modifications; building changes to create accommodations for the physically challenged; and modernization of all research and teaching space. The renovated Dairy Food Complex (South Anthony Hall) houses the Dairy Store, the Dairy Plant, the Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Microbiology and Dairy/Food Rheology research laboratories as well as the new Food Chemistry teaching laboratory. The products this center produces are sold to the public and to other MSU food service outlets through the Dairy Store, and our cheeses are also sold via mail order.
Reviews
I grew up in East Lansing and the dairy store has the most unique ice cream flavors around.
