“Montana's first county museum”
We are Montana's first county museum and the first to display dinosaur fossils in the state. That's a history that spans some 80 million years- with exhibits ranging from a mounted Hadrosaur, to eleven-thousand-year-old arrowheads, to early pioneer artifacts. Our Dino Shindig, established in 2013, is a yearly event which puts world famous paleontologist in the same room as amateur enthusiasts. With a series of lectures, kids activities and a full day dig at our active dinosaur site you'll leave having a full paleontological experience. We are open year round and have free general admission.
This is a cool place. Lots of interesting artifacts, fossils, and people. The staff really add to the experience. Definitely worth a pit stop. Read more
