“lush white sand!”
If you're looking for volleyball-playing, beach-bar-hanging good times, this spot - where Highway 59 dead-ends into the Gulf - is for you. For a small fee, you get all-day, up-close parking, making it easy to unload your gear. Paid parking from March 1 - November 30. $5 for up to four hours or $10 for all day. Beach attendants, three open-air pavilions and a picnic area are available. There are also restrooms and showers on site. This is a popular spot, so you may want to arrive early to get a prime parking spot.
Reviews
We stopped at West Beach. Beach was very clean (they have the tractor sweeping the sand while we were out there which made my 2 year old nephew's day). Sand is amazing. Bathroom facility was very clean (well for a beach). Wish it would have dedicated changing stalls instead of just bathroom stalls. Out door showers to rinse off at. Covered picnic area. Life guards on duty. Sadly due to Tropical Storm we weren't really able to get into the water but we enjoyed spending the morning building sand castles and playing in the tidal pool. $5 to park for 4 hours.
