“take a dip!”
It is a small cascade fed by natural spring water with a swimming hole at the base of it. There is a pavilion and parking area next to it.
Reviews
This is a wonderful little spot along the road to the Black Hills Wild Mustang Sanctuary. It is incorrectly placed on Roadtrippers maps. Looks like a parking lot and a few picnic tables, but a short walk down the path, and a few stairs down and you are at the loveliest natural swimming spot! Cool water, safe and fun for all ages and abilities.
Such a fun little spot. Doesn't look like much when you park, but follow the short path and you'll see the falls/swimming hole pretty quickly. Great for a quick stop or stay a while and play.
It was super busy when we went, and I'm guessing it's like that often. There were a ton of locals there; only a few tourists like us. There's no room to sit by the water unless you want to get wet.
The swimming hole is great though. Shallow enough by the rock formations for the kids to play in. Deep enough to swim/jump in at other parts.
Side note: If you want to walk by the water at all, you have to walk IN the water. There's no path next to the water.
