Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 18, 2023Hersheypark campground was a great stop for anyone going to Hershey park/Chocolate world. The campground was clean and easy to access. Especially useful was the free shuttle to and from the parks (which are only a mile away from this campground). It was so easy to come back midday to eat/rest and then go back to park in the evening for more fun. Laundry facility clean and accessible. Pool large. Store great. Definitely great savings to purchase park tix at campground ($44 dollars instead of $62 for adult tix). Kids LOVED the parks, couldn't believe how much their is to do in these parks (our kids are 4,6,8 and this was perfect for them). As far as chocolate world, I would skip the 4D movie and chocolate tasting, but the make your own chocolate and trolley rides were a blast. Really great experience overall all. Only thing is that their is a train track right next to the site so if you are a light sleeper ask for a site as far from the tracks as possible cause train runs throughout the night and early morning.
Just checked in late last night. Renting a deluxe cabin tohave the shower and bath. The place is well done, clean, and has most everything. You have to stock towels, and bedding, and there is no closet, so bring a rack, or fold up clothes. Cold ac, comfy beds, I'll post more when I explore today😁
Interested in candy? If not, stop reading this now. We can't be buddies.
If you are interested in candy, then we can talk. And I can tell you that this campground is very clean, and appeared to be a dream if you are here during the summer months and have kids. There is a giant pool and playgrounds strategically placed throughout the campground. The campground store is worthy of its own paragraph, but I won't do that to you. It's well stocked with essentials and tschotschkes. There is an arcade. And a laundry room.
We stayed in the 'big rig' section, which is called 'Carousel Circle'. Definetely missed an opportunity to name it something candy related. Regardless, this Carousel Circle area is well appointed to suit large rigs. You don't have much space from your neighbor, but the sites are level and FHU.
The other loops in the park are... interesting. The sites are interspersed with cabins. Smaller rigs would be fine in most of these spots. Some spots are pretty much set for tents only.
There is a shuttle stop in the campground which will take you to Hershey Park or Chocolate World.
There weren't any campground activities while were were here in the offseason. Also - water gets shut off for the season in early November.
We found the campground to be a little pricey - but sometimes we got a whiff of chocolate smell so worth it.
Running from the campground kind of sucks. Hershey is not the most walkable place in America for sure. Walking or running from the campground is downright junk. Which is kind of crappy because we ate nothing but chocolate while we were in town. And now we are probably going to catch diabetes because there was so little exercising opportunity. So, exercise and die by getting hit by a car, or don't exercise and die of eating too much chocolate. I'm going out via chocolate.

First I wanna get out of the way, there is a train that runs past the campground, but the noise is minimal when staying in the lower campground sites and it only come past a few times a day. The staff is extremely friendly and we were here the week before Labor Day 2020 and it was fairly empty which was nice. Most people with children go to the amusement park so during the day it is quite for us older folk. The sites are gravel and are pretty level and I don’t feel to crowded with other campers when they are here. I highly recommend this campground when visiting the area.

This campground is in a great location. You are literally 2 minutes from the Hersheypark entrance. The sites were very level which was nice. The bathhouses were very clean, although we only used them once or twice. We walked the campground and it was very nice all over and they have a nice big playground for kids. The WiFi was enough to stream on Thursday but once everyone got in on Friday it was obvious that it was taxed to the max and streaming wasn’t really possible anymore. Verizon Wireless we had full bars and LTE service. The campground offered trash pickup throughout the day, you just put your trash at either end of your site and they picked it up. Since the weather has been mild the water was still turned on to the sites but I have heard once it gets cold they do shut that off and you can fill up on the way to your site and they have a service of fresh water that comes around and fills up in the mornings (which would be very nice if needed).
We had a wonderful time at the campground as well as going to the park for all their Christmas Candylane. We will be going back again.

We have a 41’ FW and stayed on a gravel, pull through site which was nice. They were a little smaller than our last campground but not horrible. We couldn’t put our awning out but did not need to because the tree on our site provided some shade. Check in early so you can find a spot for your truck. Not much room on the site for larger vehicles unless you maneuver it on your site which takes away from your space but there seemed to be plenty of overflow parking.
The camp store is stocked with necessities and souvenirs.
There were not many activities planned during our labor day weekend trip, which I thought was a bummer but they want you to go to the theme park so I guess it makes sense.
There was a pool, which was always packed with people. It was nice to see so many people enjoying themselves. The pool was open 11-7 but closed from 2-3 for “cleaning”. It was a bummer but whatever.
Loved that they offered a free shuttle to/from the park. It was very convenient and allowed us to come back to check on our dogs during the day.
The park was clean, staff was very friendly, and we did not have any problems during our stay. No issues with cell service and the wifi worked well.

If you are planning on going to Hershey Park or Chocolate world this is the place to stay. They have a shuttle that runs frequently bringing guests to the park. There are definitely some very small/tight sites here, as mentioned by other reviews(not ours!). We stayed on site 99 which is actually a pretty good size. With 2 kids being close to the pool and basketball court worked out great. There is a freight train that runs next to the park. It is loud but it didn’t bother us. It wouldn’t deter me from returning.
The park is well maintained. The staff is friendly. We also took day trips to Gettysburg and Lancaster. Grocery store is right down the street. I would recommend!

I attended the RV show which I took a 5 minute shuttle (which ran about every 10 minutes). I got confused on the instructions to my site, even with the site map, but staffer got me to my site and assisted in backing in. It has a country feel with the grass, trees and multiple train passes on the adjacent tracks, but the train didn't blast their horns near here, but further up or down the line so it wasn't that disturbing. the train is just a low rumble as it travels like 25 MPH. I'd come back.
