This place is all about location. It’s gated and has security but is located in a less than desirable area. The ONLY amenity is a bath house. No picnic tables etc. basically a parking lot. But.... a full hook up parking lot directly across the river from the arch and right next to the overlook.
Casino Queen gets bumped up a star on the strength of its location and because you can see the sunset behind the arch from your campsite. Aside from that, it's not much more than a casino parking lot: paved pads with gravel (no picnic tables or fire rings) in between. Local area's not the best, but there are regular security patrols and we never felt unsafe. Close to public transportation or a very quick/easy drive to downtown. Small store, clean restrooms, playground, and communal area with picnic tables. We stayed on the side with longer pull throughs; if you can fit in the shorter sites on the other side of the building, there's a little more grass and trees and maybe more space between sites over there. Grass around the perimeter of the park for dog walking. Significant train noise at night. Oddly placed hookups (bring extra sewer hose). We wouldn't necessarily want to stay here for a week, but for a few days when you're mostly going to be exploring the city, it's a good spot.

Have lived in/around STL for 25 yrs and was surprised by a view of the arch I’ve never had previously. Beautiful at sunset and in the evening hours while the arch is lit. As long as you don’t try to cross at morning rush hour, the Eads bridge drops you into downtown just north of the Arch in a minute. Super convenient to all downtown activities as well as the Washington avenue entertainment area and the City Museum. Lots of Train/Barge/Metrolink noise, that’s true, but hey, it’s the trade off for not having to travel at least 30 minutes from less urban settings. Would definitely stay on the short-RV side if you fit because they have trees, but the long-RV side has plenty of room. You do have to pre-register on their web site to get a code to enter the gate on arrival. No-one in person. They do have security driving thru often. Never felt unsafe.

Trains passing constantly creating noise and shaking the ground. Just getting to the park is difficult. I was charged an online reservation fee, yet that is the ONLY way you can reserve. I tried a phone call and was told “online only”. I’ve stayed at many casino R.V. parks. This one is easily dead last on my list.

The campground is basically a parking spot with hook ups. It has security and is fenced what made us feel uneasy about the area.
The view of the arch is beautiful and the proximity to town also.
We had a power outage and maintenance came right over, very efficiently and friendly.
Awesome phone signals there.

This was basically a parking lot with full hook ups. All level lots. Beautiful view of the Arch in St, Louis. There is a shuttle from the campground to the casino. We did not venture out of the campground or casino area, which was fenced in and guarded. We had heard the area was unsafe. We felt safe within those boundaries. It was expensive for what you got but my husband had not seen the Archway before so it was worth the cost .

Trains go by constantly. Literally all night long blaring their whistles. If you want a park close to the Arch this is it. You can see it from the park. As many have said it’s a parking lot with hookups. I can deal with that. But the train noise. Worst 3 nights ever. And hubby stay to warn you all that you need lots of electrical power cord, sewer hose and water hose as the hookups at at the street and not in the middle of the site. Neighborhood is run down. Hard to get to the park and their minimart they advertise is non existent. There is nobody there, you are given a gate code after making an online reservation which by the way they charge you a fee for that I don’t recall being given a warning the reservation was subject to an online fee. Our Garmin 760 did get us right there though and WAZE instead had us go to the Casino. If it’s a day trip to see the Arch I would stay again. Beyond the day trip. No way

The view of downtown St. Louis is awesome! Can't be beat. Can walk to Eads bridge and walk across Mississippi River. Great photo ops. Can also catch the subway train from parking lot. Very safe 2 security vans drive around 24/7 . the spots are level. No grass. All gravel in between sites. The train is not that bad. Have stayed here many times. Summer and winter. Have family in town.

We didn't stay the night, we just parked our 38' fifth wheel here for a few hours while we walked over to the Gateway Arch. The staff is very nice! The sites are pull-through and large enough that we didn't have to unhitch. There is 50, 30, & 20 amp, water and sewer. It's gated and we saw security drive through at least once. There's a small playground with a slide, swing set, and see-saw. It's just a parking lot, so kind of boring, but if you're here to see the city, this is a great location! Oh and you can see the arch from your site!

This is a good place if you’re passing through town or want to go to the casino. We reserved online and paid online. You can pick your own site online and filter by the length. They charge a fee to book online. It was $3.50 and it was easy as falling off a log. They emailed me the gate code. We pulled in at 7pm. No one was in the store and it’s been cleaned out due to the pandemic (I assume). They emailed me the WiFi password. So we really didn’t need anything from the staff. We parked and hooked up. We ordered food on Uber Eats and met them at the gate. We have a travel trailer and are about 50’ long when connected. There was no problem fitting in the space and reaching the hook ups and staying connected to the tow vehicle. The site was not 100% level. But we’re only passing through and didn’t bother trying to level up with blocks. We could see the sunset and the arch. We did hear the train but not until dawn and it was only a few timeS between 5 and 9. Easy in and out. Fine for big rigs.
