“Places in Joliet, IL”
The Route 66 Park has an eclectic collection of public art works that celebrate Joliet's rich and vibrant art culture. Don't miss the overlook for a birdseye view of the Collins Street Prison. There are informational kiosks that highlight Route 66 attractions throughout the park. On a hot summer day, stop by the Rich & Creamy for a cold treat before enjoying the park.
Reviews
I must admit that this street art looks fantastic. Every graffiti on the walls or buildings of Route 66 can impress you by the way it is created.
This whole public art exhibition commemorates the culture of arts.
There are many stops where you can drink a refreshment, eat, relax and visit the museums located right off the road.
Very uncommon and interesting route especially when you think that this highway once connected Illinois, Chicago and Missouri.
I drove an extra 20 minutes to see this attraction, but there was barely anything worth noting.
