“A few hundred telephone poles sticking out of the ground”
In 1967, theatre director Robert Wilson came to Loveland, Ohio to create a piece of art for a women’s empowerment group called The Grail. The piece was constructed from six hundred plus telephone poles in a small field. Not much has been written about the performance but the weathered remnants remain. To reach Poleville, head to the parking lot of the Grailville Ark Building at 939 O'Bannonville Rd. Hop out of your vehicle and head north down the trodden path about 500ft and you'll see a poled gateway to the area.
Reviews
It’s was a nice stretch of the legs but we couldn’t find “the poles”. We walked around the path for a while which was nice, but didn’t find what was pictured.
