“weirdly designed bathroom”
Lucas is the Grassroots Art Capital of Kansas, so it is logical a Public Restroom in Lucas should follow the style of outsider, visionary and quirky.

Don't miss this !!! and the Garden of Eden nearby. A SUPER artsy, interesting restroom, inside and out.
Everything about this place is hilarious from the fact it's shaped like a toilet to the spectacular 14-foot mosaic oval lid and a toilet bowl “drain” depicting swirling water with items people have accidentally dropped into the toilet bowl.
We stopped by here on our trip from KC to Colorado. It was a very nice, creative, and artsy restroom. Parking is nearby, and I believe there were handicap spots for those in need of that. It was a very short walk from the parking area to the restrooms. Upon entering Bowl Plaza, you see benches in an arch shape depicting a toilet seat. There is mosaic art depicting the oval lid. To the right is a sidewalk that ends up being an unwound roll of toilet paper. Inside there is information on the history of the rest stop. Inside, there is intricate details and colors abound. The men's restroom is full of things that boys and men would like...super heroes, mini cars, John Deere sign, pipe, etc. The women's also uses many pieces of glass and colors to make the mosaic art. Over the sink is a woman with hair winding out. It's very creative! The Garden of Eden is very close by. Definitely worth a stop if in the area.
