Beginner canoe/kayaking. Four Marsh and Prairie trails (4 mi). Birdblind. Many lowland pests (bring bugspray!) Limited primitive camping) RVs ok. Nice bathroom/showers. 15$ primitive/25$ RV.
Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt is a great small county park fairly accessible to both interstate 35 and 80 in Central Iowa. The sites are fairly close together but also fairly level. There are a combination of sites with 30 amp and 50 amp electric service. The bathroom/our house is very new and very clean. There is a five dollar per night discount for anyone age 62 or older. The park has multiple hiking trails as well as waterfowl hunting blinds that can be rented in the fall. The part contains multiple oxbows that used to be part of the skunk river. There are canoes and kayaks for rent as well as an opportunity to bring your own. The park is very quiet.
