We are so glad we were told about this place by another camper a few weeks ago. Clean park, clean showers and easy checkin.
There's constantly people coming and going, but no crazy noise. Out of each of the sites, we will definitely reserve spot 78 again. Level, shaded by multiple trees, and shares a tent spot to the two sides. Really quiet as a result.
Dogs are allowed, and we found that a short walk down the road to the airport has a huge grassy area to run the dog. Sheplers ferry has a bus that comes to the park to take you to the port for Mackinac Island, but they also have free parking at the dock about 1 mile away.

The owners seemed to be in a bad mood both times we spoke to them. It's a small, older park with very narrow roads and somewhat bizarre site placement. There are a few pull-thru sites and a few sites on the very edge that are easy to get into or out of. Our site, #56, was extremely narrow & unlevel and took us quite a while to position the trailer between the trees so we could open the slide-out. We leveled, hooked up everything, and went inside for lunch. Within 10 minutes, we noticed we weren't level (about a half bubble off according to our level). After another 10 minutes we checked again and found it was a full bubble out of level. Went outside to check and our leveling blocks had sunk into the soil by an inch and a half. In 12 years of RVing, I've never had this happen. We ended up having to completely break camp, hook up to the truck and move the trailer so we could put solid wood under the leveling blocks. That took about an hour and was extremely frustrating, especially when I politely mentioned it to Mr. Owner and he accused me of "doing something to the site." I also asked him about the wi-fi. We were about five sites from the wi-fi antenna but signal wasn't strong enough to connect to our laptop or phones. His reply was that the park was full (it was about half full) and that, if I wanted to use my "doodads and gadgets," maybe I "should get up at 2:30 in the morning" to do so. The wi-fi wasn't slow, just too weak. Bathrooms were tired-looking, but mostly clean. Showers were separate. There was only one shower that was unlocked so I'm glad we had full hook ups and were using our own facilities. The dump station was positioned in the same parking area as the entrance, the camp store parking, and the dumpster. Since the dump station wasn't a pull through arrangement, I imagine it would be a traffic nightmare to get a lot of people through.

Escapes get a 50% discount when using cash on up to 4 nights. A great place. Not a modern facility, built in the mid-20th century but has been well kept. Sites are tourism area packed. Rates are great for the area. The one guy here in the off season was super friendly. The bathrooms were very clean. Sites are kept. Just off of the "strip" and quiet. No water views.
AT&T coverage is good, with WeBoost it is excellent. Full HD streaming quality. No issues with doing the job on the AT&T.

We called short notice and the receptionist picked a nice spot for our 37’ bus. PREFECT! Ladies in the office are really, really nice and very helpful! Stayed on PA rates. Would definitely stay here again.

This campground is near activities of St Ignace, Mackinac Island, Sault St Marie, Drummond Isl, Nabinway, Tahquamemon Falls & more. It is close to town you could walk or bicycle ride or drive. They have shuttle services for Mackinac Isl. & your bikes too. This was free service using Shepler Ferry.
We have a 45’ TH, the sites were large & wide, used 50 amp, fire pit (sell wood at office).
They sites are Pull Thru 30x60 Back-in 30x50, 30-50amp, & tent area.
The whole campground is nice. The restroom, showers, laundry room were cleaned.
The staff was very helpful & friendly.
Their WiFi for us was not the best but I will still give 5 stars.
Highly recommend.

We stayed here for nine days. So close to the Shepler’s ferry for Mackinac Island. You can also have a free shuttle pick you up here. Close to downtown & the many views of Lake Huron. Also within about 45 miles to Sault Ste Marie to do the Soo Locks Boat Tours. So close to Canada when we did that we went into Sault Ste Marie Ontario & had lunch. The site are level, you can be in the trees or with no trees. Our travelers satellite 📡 wouldn’t work because of the trees but that was fine. They have showers & bathrooms but we didn’t use them. Also laundry. We will stay here again when in this area.

We were here 9 days & it’s just so close to everything we wanted to do. Sault Ste Marie, Michigan is only 45 miles always so we did the Soo Locks Boat Tour. It was awesome. Right over the border from Canada there so we went into Sault Ste Marie, Ontario & had lunch. The park is very close to Shepler’s Ferry to Mackinac Island & they have a free shuttle that will pick you up at the park. They have restrooms & showers but didn’t use. They also have laundry. We had a couple of Amazon items delivered here too. Great sites. They have back in & pull through. They are level & some with full hookups. We were in a back in & our Traveler’s satellite 📡 wouldn’t work because of the trees. Which was fine. This park is close to town & so many beautiful views of Lake Huron just at the end of the road. We will stay here again when we are in this area.

We have returned after 2 years to the same area and this was a destination for us. The campground is well-positioned in the area and with the Escapees discounts, the price is hard to beat. The park is pretty well wooded but at the same time open enough for big rigs. The Escapees discount is only available when you pay in cash.

The previous reviews sum this place up pretty well. We enjoyed our stay in late October, just before the season ends 11/1. The owner who checked me in was extremely friendly! Good cell service here and well-maintained sites/facilities.

Our stay was mid July and we loved the location. St. Ignace is a quaint town with shops and a few places to eat (due to COVID it was limited). The ferries to Mackinac Island were close. Our site was a pull through, gravel, unlevel, with full hook ups. We had to ask for a picnic table which they brought promptly! They were tight, but like us, it seemed everyone left for the day and returned in the evening so it was quiet at night. We did have good WiFi and cell service while there. Not much of area to walk your dog. There was a bath house but we did not go in.
