Reviews
An iconic landmark just outside of down town Monterey, you can find a good restaurant here any day of the week, with plenty of free samples of yummy chowder. One of my favorites is Abalonetti's, where they do one of my favorite dishes right, ciopinno. There are usually some oddities walking around the wharf, like an organ grinder, a mini bird menagerie, etc. They've also got whale watching, kayaking, and other activities that start from here. There are a number of shops with jewellery, touristy souvenir shops, and more.
The old wharf is a beautiful setting. A running and bike path stretches along the marinas. There are a few cafés, fish restaurants and a tasty brewery in this truly pleasant paradise.

Quaint and beautiful at sunset, just like the rest of the town. A good place to stroll the touristy (but inoffensive) shops and chow down some seafood samples.
