This was a great find! Not too far from the highway, it's like a different world. There's a beautiful small lake with waterfront sites and plenty of trees.
$18 per night, plus a vehicle fee.
Nice little park. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Little bit of a trek to the one bathroom.
Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area features the 320-acre Lake Ogallala. The lake has protected shoreline, great fishing and is right next to the large Lake McConaughy. The 82-site campground has all the modern facilities with many campsites along the shore.
