Situated next to the Yaquina Bay Bridge, South Beach State Park begins in south Newport and stretches several miles down the Oregon coast. This historic park offers a variety of recreational opportunities. The paved jetty trail provides a perfect place to jog or ride a bicycle. Forgot your bike? The Hospitality Center rents out bikes daily during the summer months, and you can also purchase bike helmets.
Reviews
As expected with a state park in August, the campground was packed. Rvs, lots of tents, and yurts apparently full. Surprisingly quiet given the crowds.
Entry booth attendant was helpful. Allowed us to access our site early since the previous folks had vacated. Tight camp overall but many class A, large C’s and 5th wheels in the A section
