“Cheap rides and friendly animals”
Cody Park is a wonderful place for families. With the cheap rides, delicious ice cream and the abundance of animals it a great place to visit. Cody Park on North Highway 83 is home to a collection of animals, picnic areas and a fine collection of children's rides, including a restored antique carousel with hand carved horses. In addition, this public facility houses the beautiful life-size statue of William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody, the display of flags from the tours of the Wild West Show and a collection of railroad locomotives and cars donated by Union Pacific. In September, Cody Park is the site of our annual "Arts In The Park" event, notable for its fine booths featuring handcrafted items by local artists and craftsmen. Great place to stop if you are traveling with kids. Playground, animals to feed, and a train. Word of warning on the bathrooms by the playground... they do not have doors on the stalls. Weird. But still worth the stop. :)
We stopped here on a road trip to take a break and let the kids stretch their legs. I highly recommend this park, there was a good sized playground, trains you can tour, rides, animals to see, and picnic tables. Bathrooms were strange, no doors on the stalls.
It's a large park with lots of different areas. The train museum is a must see. This park is a good place to picnic if you're traveling with kids.
great place for families! The rides and concession stand are open in the summer and at Christmas. Try the ice cream! So Affordable! A must stop for our family everytime we visit the area!
Great fun for younger kids! Feed/watch some "wild" animals, ride a few kids' only rides, play at a couple playgrounds and parks, swim, or check out the trains. A great pit stop.
This is a great stop for families with young children!
