Okay, this is a hard review. Our stay at the Stony Ridge Toledo KOA was the maiden voyage for our newly purchased travel trailer. So, take my words with a grain of salt since I am admittedly new to the camping lifestyle and do not know what the norms are of good vs. bad. I don't want to be unfair or disparage, but what I say is the simple truth of our experience.
To nutshell the campground: shabby. The whole place has a very run-down feel and appearance. The bathrooms are old, loud mechanicals, and downright dirty. I'm thankful we had a bathroom/shower in the camper, even at the risk of filling our tanks too quickly. Wifi would not work reliably to even load facebook; I ended up hotspotting from my phone. The panning station wasn't running and had to be turned on just for our kids' use, which was a little discomforting as it is just a stagnant water tank under the sluice run and who knows what was growing in it. One of the most unpleasant parts of our two night stay was the perpetual stink. Yes, I mean stink. They have a "lagoon" type wastewater treatment setup with open filtration pits. Imagine 90+ degree heat and a stiff downwind breeze to the campsites. Everywhere you went, be it the playground, pool, general store, or your own camp lot - the methane sewage odor was potent and relentless. The water also was very white coming out of our tap and actually was fizzy like it was carbonated. I know it wasn't our filter or faucet because it wasn't like that at the rv sales park or our home well. Something strange about that water and we only drank bottled the whole time to be cautious. I believe our fee for staying was grossly overpriced considering the standards.
Now, I will give full credit to the friendliness of staff. I never had a grouchy person or someone being rude, actually the opposite because there was always a smile and a wave for my kids. Firewood was cheerfully and freely delivered right to our site. The camping "neighbors" were all friendly and respectful. We never felt bodily unsafe, nor did we fear for our belongings. It was a laid back environment which was good.
We purchased a KOA membership when we made the reservations for this campground since we are planning to do much more travel. If they are all like this, I'll consider it a poor investment. As it is, I would hope and pray that this is not the best representation of what a KOA facility should be and that the Toledo Stony Ridge is just a little more down on its luck vs. the majority. Would I stay there again? Only if a nicer place wasn't available.
Ultimately though, our family still managed to have fun because we were together and that's what it is all about.
Tent camped one night here. I didn’t use any of the amenities, I just needed a clean quiet place to stay. I didn’t notice pool was closed. Not sure if they still advertise that it is open. Bathroom were very clean

Was just passing through and needed a place to stay in Toledo for the night. This place was very clean and organized. Staff was very friendly. Sites were nice, pull throughs were a little close but not too bad. We enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely come back again if we were passing through the area.

Just passing thru but it served our needs. Most sites are shaded which is nice on a summer day. Has a nice FHU PT. Pool is not open but kids liked the blow up water thing. Camp store sells your basic camp store stuff. Pizza delivered to site which was good cause not much else around. Decent wifi as we were able to stream early eve. Very quiet as it is a few miles from the interstate. Overall, it did the job. I would give it 3 1/2 stars but couldn't figure out how to do that

The staff was friendly and we booked at the last minute coming through town but we ended up leaving as the site was really not nice. We have never left a campground before but this one just wasn't worth it. The small grass area was really unkept, there were large pieces of fake turf down which was really just a wet carpet. The ground was completely saturated with standing water everywhere (certainly not the KOA's fault but didn't help). The plants around it were all dead or dying and you are on top of everyone else. Although we generally don't love KOA's they are usually a bit nicer than this. There are really nice county parks around like Wolf Creek Park which is where we ended up and it's MUCH nicer for a lot less money. We definitely would not stay here again.

Defiantly a CG we want to visit again, perhaps in the Summer, (we stayed in October 2021). The owner & workers were super nice! One of the best RV Parks we've stayed at. Convenient to the city of Toledo and more importantly the city of Perrysburg which has all the stores (Walmart, etc). The gravel pads were ok, fairly level and the sites were large enough for privacy yet comfortable for visiting the neighbors. The restrooms & showers were a bit dated but clean & useable. Laundry had newer commercial front-loading washers & dryers. Nice small store when well stocked (end of season). The only issue would be that for the sites closest to Luckey Rd (County) might not like the traffic noise, although intermittent.
(2nd Visit - July 2022): Not much changes, although the pool is not open and is in need of repair. Same cost, same site. Mini golf could use some TLC, likewise the 'trail' has not been maintained since last year. Concrete patios but the picnic tables need to be sanded & painted.

Small sites but clean and quiet. A place to stay over night on a trip but wouldn’t be a place to vacation or take the family to.

This was a one night stay during our journey home to Georgia so we didn't explore the campground.
We arrived around 8.30, checked in with the lovely ladies in the office and were shown to our site.
The campground is off the beaten path, nice as there are no highway noises to keep you awake in the night.
Not sure if the pool was going to be closed for winter any time soon but it looked very dirty and not at all inviting.

This place has little to offer. They advertise a pool, but it has not been open in four years. Nothing else here. Poorly maintained. The owners have obviously given up. Too bad for them. This campground is in the middle of nowhere. Go to the State park campground fifteen minutes north.

We arrived for one night in May 2019. Very friendly front staff. It had rained before we had arrived and the roadways were muddy and had rather big holes. They are in the process of restoring the area/roads as the main area had fresh gravel on the entry and exit roads.
We stayed another night, a week later, in site 503 as well. Both were pull thru sites and had poured concrete for the patio. Not all amenities were open as it was still early in the season so cannot rate those. Based on the cleanliness, quality of the pull thru sites, and access we give it 5 stars. The resort may not have the 'finesse/polish' of other 5 KOAs but its a great place to stay the night.
