We stayed two nights while we visited the zoo, Ross Park, Chief Pocatello statue and replenished supplies. This park is excellent. Most of the RVs came in just for the night. The sites are gravel and level, the restrooms & showers are fine. They have propane and a dump station. The shade trees helped greatly in keeping the heat of the day down. There is a Perkins restaurant nearby that was open for dine-in (partial seating) during the pandemic.
This is an RV park very near the city center. The tent spots are in the perimeter of the space which is right next to a farm and a mobile home park. All night you can hear cars passing by on the roads. The office closes at 8pm but they leave your reservation information on a bulletin board outside.
We arrived so late we didn't get a chance to use the Wifi.
I went into the office to ask a question about the bill but was cut off before I could finish and told flat out I was "wrong". I noticed the same attendant speaking sharply to some kids who came into the store to buy firewood.
I think this is a great spot if you are in your RV and need a place to crash on your way somewhere else but would never recommend it for tent campers.

We actually live close by and just needed a place to hang out while doing some work on our trailer and this was a convenient place to park for a couple of days...but having lived in this area I can attest that this place, under the new management for the past few years, has improved 10 fold! It's a typical KOA, in many ways, though this one is better kept than many we have seen and is set off the road so it's fairly quiet... But they've done a lot of improvements on maintenance and security...and he's a genuinely nice guy with a lot of RV expertise! The site we had was a little tight and nothing to brag about, but he knew we just needed a quick, easy spot to park so we were fine there. There were other, bigger sites that looked nice, with some shade and updated picnic tables. Overall, a decent place to stay if you need to be in Pocatello for a few days.

The lovely woman who checked us in made me like this park more than I might have otherwise. She really made us feel welcome.
Dirt and gravel interior and sites. FHUs worked fine. Grounds are maintained nicely with several large trees. Sites are close together and if the park were full it would have been very crowded feeling.
Gas and diesel and propane on site. Close to town but quiet in a country setting. Easy access from the interstate. WiFi worked most of time.

We opted to use a KOA as we traveled through the area. We booked online and arrived mid afternoon. The lady at reception was not very pleasant and gave me attitude for reserving online. Her instructions were hasty and un-enthusiastic.
The rate was higher average for a slightly unleveled gravel site. Sewer hookups are not provided outside of the on site dump station. The sites are very dense and alternate pull in direction which would make privacy non existent when the campground is full.
This was a very atypical visit for a KOA and I will not return.

We arrived early about 7 in the evening, tired from a long drive. We had made a reservation for a tent site, and were charged for a full service site. The lady at the desk very rudely changed the site to a tent site and tried to apply a credit to my card. Both times she tried, the credit was denied. I called my bank, and was told that a credit is never denied, and that the lady must have done something incorrectly for that to happen. The lady then gave me a receipt for the 10% discount given to KOA members. When I got home, there was no credit on my card at all, and no money given back to me. The receipt was totally invalid.
The tent site we were given was the worst ever. There was a bench over the campfire area to keep people from falling into it, and to use the campfire we had to move the bench. That was fine, because we understood why it had been covered, but, the campfire was surrounded with a very sharp circular piece of metal and was at least 12 inches lower than the surrounding ground. We had to bend below our feet to start and even use the fire. At one point, after getting the fire started, I almost fell into the pit. Not only could I have gotten burned, but could have been easily cut with the rusted metal around the fire. The ground was very uneven everywhere and walking anywhere on the tent site was dangerous for twisting an ankle or falling. I did get a call from the lady at the desk the next morning asking for my credit card so that she could apply a credit. So far, I still haven't seen it. I definitely would not recommend this campground. Very highly priced and horrible service.

A cramped little KOA with very few full hookups and lots of full timers. On the plus side: no trains, planes or very serious highway noise. They have a decent store with most everything you might need. On the minus side, I’d call first if you have a big rig…most of the sites are short and there’s not many with sewer. Also, we didn’t get a warm and friendly welcome but efficient enough.
