“one of richmond's three american civil war museum sites”
The White House and Museum of the Confederacy are located at 12th and Clay Streets in Richmond's historic Court End neighborhood, about three blocks from the State Capitol. The White House and adjacent Museum offer free parking in the VCU Medical Center Visitors Deck located on 12th St. (just bring your ticket to the Museum for validation- the deck is also free on weekends). Once you have parked make sure you go back up to the top level of the deck and when you exit the building, the White House and Museum are just across the street.
