“Railroad museum in Sacramento, CA”
The California State Railroad Museum is North America's largest railroad-related museum, located in Sacramento, California. The Museum consists of the Railroad History Museum, the reconstructed 1876 Central Pacific Passenger Depot, the Sacramento Southern Excursion Railroad, all in Old Sacramento, and in Jamestown in the Sierra Foothills, Railtown 1897, which showcases steam locomotives and 19th century trains. Future plans call for the addition of the Rail Technology Museum in two buildings in the historic Southern Pacific railyards, just north of the Railroad History Museum.
