We ended up at Seney Township Park after not being able to find a spot at Woodland Park in Grand Marais and 1 night at Fox River. We wanted to run the air conditioner and dehumidifier so we opted to pay the extra $3 ($15 vs $12 at Fox River) for power at Seney Township Park.
The campground was about 3/4 full during our 3 nights stay. Our neighbors for 2 of the nights were non-stop partying playing loud music and drinking by their smokey campfire all day and night.
I don't think there is a camp host here and I never saw anyone patrolling the park.

We just spent an overnight here to visit friends. The park has a decent layout and simple system with no host or oversight. The pit toilets were disgusting, but the rest of the park was nice and clean. There seemed to be several regular guests, but they had sites available when most other campgrounds in the area were full.
Seney itself is not much of a town, but more of an intersection with a gas station/party store, they had diesel and non-ethanol gas available, drinking water for $2/gal. and the usual snacks and small grocery selection.
There is a Verizon tower in Seney so cell coverage for us was excellent here.

A great spot in the UP to rest for a few days. Has both 50 and 30 amp at the large sites and a water source to fill the fresh tank. The kids liked the play equipment. At only $15 a night it is a great value in a secluded spot to recharge.

Stopped here on our trip to the UP. First come, first serve. Hidden off main road, only 17 sites, 7 with electric. Choose one in the shade without electric. Very quiet. Artesian spring well in CG.
