“An American castle”
Built by the Knights of Pythias as an orphanage in 1913, the structure was later owned by the U.S. Military for more than 50 years. The nearly 40,000 square feet contain more than 50 rooms, including dungeons and a ballroom. The Paranormal Task Force and the Ozark Paranormal Society have certified Pythian Castle as a haunted site. One-hour tours are offered daily. Murder mystery dinners, comedy nights, ghost tours, and other special events occur regularly. The website includes a complete history; specific tour times; ticket prices for various tours; and an event schedule. Private event space available.
