Our Take
Built in 1773, the Tybee Island Light is one of seven surviving colonial-era lighthouse towers, making it the oldest in Georgia; it's also the tallest in the state. It has survived storms, earthquakes, fires, the Confederates, and a questionable all-black paint job, and is still in use today. A ticket includes admission to the grounds and cabins, the museum across the street, and a trip to the top of the tower, from which you may or may not be able to see Sandra Bullock's vacation home.
