Our Take

The Conservatory is truly stunning, with two courtyard gardens and ten garden rooms all under glass. Escape the bustle of DC and stroll through the Orchid Room, the Worlds Deserts Room, a rare and endangered plant display, a butterfly garden, a children’s garden, and a three-acre National Garden that showcases plants from all over our country. The gardens are open 365 days year and, like all the Smithsonian museums, admission is free. The hours vary according to day and season, plus the gardens are periodically closed for government events, so make sure you check online before visiting.

our artifacts are the living treasures of the world

More than 200 years ago, George Washington had a vision for the capital city of the United States that included a botanic garden that would demonstrate and promote the importance of plants to the young nation. Established by the U.S. Congress in 1820, the U.S. Botanic Garden is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America. Since 1934, it has been administered through the Architect of the Capitol. The Garden has been recognized as a museum and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. This accreditation is a widely recognized seal of approval that recognizes a museum's commitment to excellence, accountability, high professional standards and continued institutional improvement.

Whoa, that's very amazing! I was aware that the U.S. Botanic Garden is among the oldest botanical gardens in North America and has a lengthy history. The fact that it's is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and recognized as a museum is significant. It is truly amazing that there is a dedication to quality and that the significance of flora has been promoted. I appreciate you sharing. https://www.brigadeneopolis.live/
