“4 centuries of history”
Built in 1678, Smith's Castle is one of the oldest houses in the state and on the site of Roger Williams' original trading post. Along with being named a National Historic Landmark, Smith's Castle has the honor of being an archaeological site. Today, it serves the community as a house museum including tours and activities. Smith's Castle also houses private events, such as weddings, on its 23 acres overlooking Narragansett Bay.
